COBS had revenue of approximately MSEK 50 during 2007 with good profitability. The company’s head office is located in Göteborg.
Jörgen Wigh, President & CEO of Lagercrantz Group, comments the acquisition by saying:
"The acquisition of COBS is one element of our ambition of increasing the proportion of proprietary products and raising the value content of our offer to customers.”
Bertil Sjöberg, principal owner of COBS:
”The sale to Lagercrantz provides excellent opportunities for future expansion at the same time as COBS gets a long-term owner that lends security and stability to our customers, suppliers and personnel.”
COBS will be a part of division Communications in the area of Digital Image/Technical Security from 1 September 2008. The acquisition is expected to give a small positive contribution to Lagercrantz consolidated earnings per share during the 2008/09 financial year ending 31 March 2009.
