Lagercrantz acquires Dorotea Mekaniska AB
Lagercrantz has today acquired 100% of the shares in Swedish company Dorotea Mekaniska AB (DMAB). DMAB is a leader in amphibian machines with additional tools for lake clearance and wetland and water conservation where the products are sold under the Truxor brand. DMAB has annual sales of approximately SEK 70 million, with good profitability, and much of the sales are exported through retailers to end users around the world.
“Lagercrantz is happy to acquire well-established product companies with leading positions in niches. The Truxor products fit in well with that description and we look forward to continue to build the company internationally, based on the strong platform built in Dorotea,” comments Jörgen Wigh, President and CEO of Lagercrantz Group.
“I see Lagercrantz as a strategic, long-term owner who can further develop and continue the company's international expansion,” says Dorotea Mekaniska's CEO and principal owner Torbjörn Hahlin.
Dorotea Mekaniska will be part of the Lagercrantz Niche Products division as of April 2019. The acquisition is expected to generate a small positive addition to the Group’s earnings per share on an annual basis.
