R-CON's latest green initiatives

In connection with the launch of a new web site, R-CON, part of the Lagercrantz TecSec division, announced several exciting sustainability initiatives.

Solar Power
R-CON has recently launched a project to install solar panels on their customers’ pump houses,
to make them self-sufficient in energy. This not only reduces energy costs but also has a significant positive environmental impact. R-CON has also installed solar cells at its test and training facility in Norrköping, with mounting systems from another company within the TecSec division, CW Lundberg.

Regulatory Changes
In parallel, R-CON is working to change industry regulations to enable remote monitoring of pumps. This would drastically reduce travel for service technicians and customers, thereby further reducing total carbon emissions.

In addition to these new measures, R-CON creates a positive climate impact through:

  • Products with a long lifespan, typically 25 years.
  • A new modern production facility, built in 2020, with very low energy consumption.
  • Extensive recycling with eight separate categories, including plastic, wood, electronics, hazardous waste, fluorescent lamps, batteries, corrugated cardboard, and office paper.
  • Own repair workshop that helps recycle products and extend their lifespan.
  • Diesel sprinkler pumps powered by Ecopar, an environmentally friendly fuel produced from garbage.
  • All service vehicles are compatible with HVO or Ecopar fuel.

At Lagercrantz, we believe that the most important positive climate impact occurs in our individual subsidiaries with concrete sustainability initiatives that make a real difference for business partners, employees and society. R-CON's sustainability work is an excellent example.
