Esari and Fortum team up to install boiler plant in Espoo.
Challenging projects are something of a specialty for Esari, a subsidiary in the Electrify division of Lagercrantz Group.
In Mankans, Espoo, Esari has delivered an advanced protective container with all the necessary electrical and process equipment to a CHC boiler plant within a very tight timeframe. An exciting project where the waste heat from Equinix's two data centers in the city will be used in Fortum's district heating system.
The Mankan project had many unique requirements and according to Otto Schütt, project manager for Fortum's Heating and Cooling business. Fortum chose Esari as its partner because of their ability to take on challenging projects. Esari differs from other suppliers, who usually offer off-the-shelf equipment that is then configured to the customer's needs. Esari, on the other hand, built the electric boiler containers according to Fortum's drawings and requirements, and also provided project management and improvement suggestions that gave the project significant added value.
The container is relatively small in terms of external dimensions but contains a lot of technology. "Mankan's CHC boiler plant has ten times the amount of technology compared to a conventional plant," says Patrik Knutar, CEO of Esari.
